Shane, you're welcome! Your very flattering comments are appreciated! I hope the teaching works out for you. It is nice to have some steady income (what do I know about that, though?), although when I taught in the past I always found it hard to spend time on my own work. As for your generous offer to stay, watch out! I am thinking of a southern trip in November, for a gallery opening and a couple of shows, and was actually thinking of visiting Penland for the first time.

richard,
thanks for the reply on my blog, i read yours also so nice to connect on the blogoshpere.I must say when i started making pots back in 1993 your pots and the quality you produced was my goal, so for you to say nice pots to me means more than i can express, thank you! and yes this year is gonna suck bad, 18 out of 20 of my galleries i called didnot order. I fortunately took on some part time teaching so i have that for the spring and fall semesters, they actually just put me in for full time, which i dont know if i want? would be nice for a few years, maybe more if benefits would help with some kind of retirement account? Iknow we potters dont retire but not worrying about money after say 65 would be nice. anyway if you ever head down to the penland area let me know, you got a place to stay.
